Keryn and Josh [October 20th 2018]

From the moment I met Keryn and Josh I knew their wedding would be a blast. It didn’t disappoint. I met Keryn as a bridesmaid from Marissa and Josh‘s wedding last year.  She is such a fun person to be around. When we met up for their engagement session in Rockport earlier this year it just felt like hanging out with old friends.

October 20th ended up being such a beautiful fall day. Keryn and the girls got ready at house on Long Beach in Rockport. We were able to do their first look and bridal party photos with that beautiful backdrop on the beach. Keryn and Josh were surrounded by such a wonderful group of people. Before we headed to the ceremony I stole Keryn and Josh for some portraits around the Bear Skin Neck area. It was nice to have some quiet moments before we headed to the Rockport Art Association for the rest of the festivities.

Check out some of my favorites from their day:

Alyssa and Brandon [October 14th, 2018]

There is no wrong time of the year to be up in Maine. However, I absolutely adore the fall season in Maine.  I was so excited when I was asked to shoot Alyssa and Brandon’s wedding at the Red Barn at Outlook Farm. I had been there once before and was so excited to go back.  Alyssa grew up here in Massachusetts but currently  lives in Kentucky with Brandon.  They came home to visit last Christmas and Brandon (being from Kentucky) was such a good sport about doing an engagement session in 20 degrees and snow.

Their wedding was absolutely beautiful. That golden fall light was perfection.  I also loved that we were able to take some pictures on the beach in October! It was so nice seeing some familiar faces again.  Thank you guys so much for being amazing and I hope you enjoy the photos!

Alisha and Tom [October 5th 2018]

Alisha and Tom are two of the nicest people you could meet. I couldn’t wait for their wedding at the beginning of this month. The weather was gorgeous right from the start.  When we first walked in to where they were getting ready, we were able to catch Alisha reading her card from Tom. It was such a nice moment to hear how excited Tom was to marry Alisha later on that day.

Alisha looked absolutely stunning and she had every detail planned out. I especially loved the thoughtful tribute to her mom on her bouquet. I know how special that was for Alisha to have that close to her.

The ceremony was held at a near by church (once Alisha actually got there .. haha ).  I loved the look on Tom’s face as she came down the aisle.  He couldn’t wipe that smile of his face the rest of the day.

The reception took place at Granite Links in Quincy. It has a beautiful view of Boston and some awesome ruins to take photos in. Right before Alisha and Tom had to go to their reception there was an unbelievable sunset that I couldn’t pass up.

The party went off without a hitch and everyone was having a blast. So happy to celebrate my fellow Merrimack College alum! Thank you both for having us. It was such a beautiful day.

Libby and Ryan September 29th 2018

Libby and Ryan had a gorgeous day for their Gloucester wedding.  We first met up with Libby in Rockport before heading to the Cape Ann’s Marina Resort for the festivities. It was fun hanging with all the girls and watching all the action from the top of the bridal suite. Ryan and the guys had a good time getting ready. I love how adventurous they were.

The look on Ryan’s face when Libby came down the aisle was priceless. He’s not crying.. you’re crying! It was such a great moment. After the ceremony we were whisked away to another area of the resort near the marsh and docks to take portraits. Special thanks to my former bride Rebecca for being such an awesome wedding coordinator! So awesome to see her again. She made the day stress free.

Once the reception got started the party didn’t stop. I love when the wedding receptions get going. Seeing everyone dancing, laughing and having a blast is one the perks of the job. And maybe getting a frozen hoagie from the ice cream truck after. Can’t complain at all!  Congrats to Libby and Ryan!!

Paula and Eddie [September 9th 2018]

Paula and Eddie had such a beautiful day at Peirce Farm at Witch Hill for their September wedding.  You can’t go wrong at this venue. There is a great onsite house to get ready in. The grounds are perfect for photos complete with chickens!  And the renovated barn is so warm and beautiful inside.  Paula looked stunning and I loved that she wore cowboy boots all day. They totally fit her personality. Eddie was so happy to see Paula finally for their “first look”. I know that he couldn’t wait to see her. Those quiet moments are such a nice opportunity for a couple to have before the festivities begin.  I am always down for a “first look”.

We took a stroll around the property before the ceremony and I loved the view that overlooked the awesome field in the back.  Ceremony went off without a hitch and Paula and Eddie were mingling with their guests in no time.  The reception was full of high energy dancing and lots of laughs. I always love being able to steal my couples away at night for a few night portraits to end the evening. These didn’t disappoint.  Thank you Paula and Edie for a fabulous day!

Stephanie and Manuel [Smith Barn at Brooksby Farm]

We will be seeing a lot of these siblings in the next few years.  Two years ago we shot Jen and Nate’s wedding in Mexico [here] and we couldn’t wait to capture Steph and Manuel’s wedding this summer.  It was such a beautiful day full of lots love and laughter. Manuel is a photographer as well  (check him out) so there was a lot to live up to. So much pressure. (kidding :)) I have known Steph’s family for many years and  it was so nice to be surrounded by so many familiar faces again. It really makes my job that much more fun.

One of the perks of photographing a photographer’s wedding is probably the amount of time allotted for photography. Steph and Manuel had so much time for photos and they were still to enjoy all of their cocktail hour and reception. It led to a very relaxing day. And can we talk about how gorgeous Steph looked?!  So timeless and beautiful. Manuel couldn’t take his eyes off her all day. Don’t worry Manuel, you looked so handsome too.

I also have to give a special shout out to Manuel’s daughter Sofia for being such an awesome help all day. She had such an important role at the wedding but she was also a rockstar at their engagement session as well. She was my “second shooter” all day and wasn’t shy at all to give me her photo advice!

I could go on and on describing this wedding with every detail but I think the pictures can do that for me.
