Caitlin and Dave [Birchwood Vineyards] 8/18/18

Caitlin and Dave’s wedding was held at the gorgeous Birchwood Vineyards in Derry, NH.  Once again the summer weather has been tricky but Cait and Dave braved the elements for their first look with the help of some umbrellas.  Don’t let a little rain ruin your day. Embrace it. It is so much fun to photograph in. Especially at night.

One thing I really did love about Birchwood Vineyards was how beautiful it was inside as well. The reception space was rustic and elegant. Caitlin and Dave had lots of little personal touches throughout.

I have known Cait a long time and it was so wonderful to see so many familiar faces.  This group of people knew how to party and I think the images speak for themselves. Thank you both for having us and we had an absolute blast!

Maura and Frank [ Willowbend – Cape Cod]

Once again mother nature has kept us on our toes this wedding season. The day started out with beautiful sunny weather where Maura got ready. It was her family’s beach house in Mattapoisett, MA. Maura looked absolutely stunning and I loved her first look photos on the beach with her Dad. Before we left for Willowbend, Maura opened her gift from Frank. Her reaction to getting a dog was priceless!

We were then on our way to Willowbend  when the skies got cloudy and the rain was non stop. There was a quick decision to move the ceremony inside. When Maura and I first spoke about her wedding, she mentioned how much she loved twinkle lights.  I was so happy to utilize the twinkle lights set up in her reception space for her ceremony. Sometimes things happen for a reason.  Once the ceremony was over the rain slowed down and outside we went. I love the way Maura and Frank looked at each other all day. It didn’t matter what the weather was doing, they were married and it was perfect.

Back in the reception we were blown away by Maura and Frank’s first dance. For two people with theater in their blood I guess I wasn’t surprised by the awesome twirling and “Time Warp” dancing going on. We had such a blast with you guys!

Wedding at Willowdale Estate

The weather the morning of Christine and Rob’s wedding was looking iffy. I wasn’t overly concerned because I know how beautiful Willowdale Estate is inside and outside. I always have clear umbrellas just in case. No matter where we would end up it would be perfect.  It was raining pretty heavy when we arrived. However, since this is New England, that can change at the drop of a hat. Mother Nature kept us on our toes.

Christine looked absolutely stunning. I was obsessed with her flowers. The bright colors were such a lovely compliment to the grounds at Willowdale. When it was actually time to do the first look the rain magically stopped and everything seemed to fall into place.  I loved the way Rob kept looking at Christine the whole day. Because thunder and lightening were threatening the area come ceremony time we moved under the tent just in case.  It was still so pretty under that beautiful arbor and the courtyard in the background.

Since Christine and Rob did a first look they got to join in on all of cocktail hour. It was great to take a breather from that hot summer air. The reception went off without a hitch. I always love seeing some familiar guests and vendors at this wedding. It makes the day even more fun. Thank you so much Christine and Rob!

Krista and Ted April 14th 2018

With the crazy weather New England has been having this year, you never know what to expect. It seemed like winter was never going to end but spring has finally made an appearance. Krista and Ted lucked out for their April wedding with a great day and no rain. I have known Krista and her family for quite some time so it was so nice to reunite with familiar faces throughout the day.  She looked absolutely stunning and you know Ted approved by the look on his face all day.  Their day was perfect and I was so honored to be able to capture it for them.

A celebration at Tupper Manor [Caitlin and Antonio]

March was a crazy month for New England weather.  Seemed like every week there was an impending storm.  When it came time for Caitlin and Antonio’s big day, the weather held off .  One of the things I love about Tupper Manor is how beautiful it is inside.  No matter what your day brings you can’t go wrong at this venue.  I loved the soft colors that they choose throughout the day.  The flowers were amazing.  Caitlin looked stunning in her dress. I loved the simplicity of it and the lace back was spectacular.  Antonio was so excited to see her.  You can see it in how he looked at her all day. Capturing those little moments is what makes my job so rewarding.

A 2017 Recap!

I feel so lucky as each year passes to be able to capture these moments for so many people.  The saying ” Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life” couldn’t be more true for myself.  Every year, I meet such amazing people and gain great friendships.  I’m so thankful to all of you who have allowed me to come and document your lives. While my recap is only a quick selection of some of my favorite wedding and engagement images from this past year, I truly love everything I have photographed.  2018 will have some new things in store for Match Made Studios. I’m constantly striving to grow and change with each new year.  Thank you to my wonderful couples for being part of the story.  A huge shout out to my wonderful friends who have second shot along side of me. You make my job even more enjoyable.

Happy 2018 everyone! Can’t wait to see what the year brings.
